A Seminar for SAMBO Coaches and Referees was held in Mexico

The national seminar for SAMBO coaches and referees took place on May 20-21 in Mexico. The event was attended by about 20 specialists from 3 states of the country, who were trained under the guidance of a member of the Referee Commission of the Pan American Sambo Union (UPASA), holder of the first FIAS coaching degree, Costa Rican Luis Bogantes.

“The seminar can be divided into several parts. In one of them, together with the participants, we analyzed typical refereeing situations on video, in the other we practiced the work of a referee in practice in the gym, in the third we studied the nuances of Sport, Combat and Beach SAMBO techniques. During two days of work, we were able to consider all the main aspects of refereeing and practice SAMBO techniques both in the standing position and in the stalls,” Luis Bogantes said.

The seminar, which was held on the basis of the Autonomous Mexican University, was a continuation of this year’s series of training events held under the auspices of the Pan American Sambo Union. Previously, a seminar in the international format was held in Nicaragua, in the near future it is planned to hold similar events in Haiti and Bolivia.
