Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington will return to competition, but this time outside the organization’s octagon. The American is set to compete in a wrestling match against Dillon Danis at the RAF 7 event.
The gala is scheduled for March 28 and will take place at the Yuengling Center in Tampa.
The clash between Covington and Danis will serve as the co-main event of the evening. Both fighters are known for their ground skills — Covington comes from a strong collegiate wrestling background, while Danis is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist and longtime training partner of Conor McGregor.
The main event of the card will feature a rematch between Giorgio Poullas and UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan.
