Real American Freestyle Tightens Security Ahead of Arman Tsarukyan vs Giorgio Poulas Rematch

The Real American Freestyle (RAF 7) event will place a major emphasis on safety and strict rule enforcement during the rematch between Arman Tsarukyan and Giorgio Poulas, set to take place this weekend in Tampa.

League spokesperson Ben Askren confirmed that additional measures will be implemented to prevent a repeat of the chaotic scenes from their first encounter.

“There will be extra security measures. We cannot allow another chaotic fight like that. The referee and the athletes will be clearly instructed on what is allowed and what is not. Strikes to the face are prohibited and will result in warnings and penalties. After three warnings – disqualification,” Askren stated.

In addition to the main rematch, the event will also feature another potentially heated clash between Colby Covington and Dillon Danis, which has also raised concerns among organizers.

“Referees will be instructed to be stricter. It’s entirely possible Danis could cause problems, so there must be clear control. This is a serious match, and if the rules are not followed, there will be disqualifications,” Askren added.

The organization is adamant that this time, the fights will not be allowed to spiral out of control.
