Juliana Yaneva misses the entire year due to surgery

Bulgarian wrestler Yuliana Yaneva underwent knee surgery and will miss the year.

The world vice-champion tore cruciate ligaments during training, and yesterday she was operated on by German specialist Dr. Klaus Johann. This is Yaneva's sixth intervention, she has already had three on both knees.

"The operation was successful, hopefully I won't have any more similar problems by the Olympics", said Yuliana, who became European champion in 2023 after her fifth surgery.
