Las Vegas to Host 2027 Wrestling World Championships

The 2027 Wrestling World Championships will officially be held in Las Vegas, USA. The competition is scheduled for September 11–19 and will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center, a venue with a capacity of nearly 20,000 spectators.

The championship will carry major significance, as it will serve as the first qualification tournament for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The first quota spots for the world’s biggest sporting event will be allocated there.

There is still no final decision regarding the host of the 2026 Wrestling World Championships. Bahrain had initially been expected to stage the event, but due to the tense situation in the region, hosting the tournament there remains highly uncertain.

At this stage, Kazakhstan has emerged as the leading favorite to host the 2026 edition.
