Umar Nurmagomedov to Face Urijah Faber in Abu Dhabi Wrestling Match

The bantamweight star steps onto the freestyle mats for a major November showdown at the Etihad Arena.

Umar Nurmagomedov is temporarily switching sports to make his official freestyle wrestling debut. The undefeated bantamweight star has signed a deal with the Real American Freestyle (RAF) promotion. He is now scheduled to compete at the big RAF Abu Dhabi event on November 14.

For his first match, Nurmagomedov will face combat sports legend and UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber in a special wrestling showcase. While Nurmagomedov is brand new to the mats, Faber has already wrestled twice in the promotion. The American is still looking for his first win after losing his past matches to Henry Cejudo and Arman Tsarukyan.
