Russia sits on top at the Individual Wrestling World Cup

Russia's wrestling teams dominated at the Individual World Cup that took place this past week in Belgrade, Serbia.

The Russian wrestlers captured a total of 24 medals - 17 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze. The Russians won 8 out of ten freestyle gold medals.

11 countries captured at least one gold medal from the competition that replaced the World Championships.

1. Russia - 17 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals


2. Kirgizstan - 3 gold and 5 bronze medals


3. Belarus - 2 gold, 1 silver, and 7 bronze medals


4. Hungary - 1 gold and 5 silver medals


5. Poland - 1 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals


6. Moldova - 1 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals


7. Armenia - 1 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals


8. Ukraine - 1 gold, 1 silver, and 9 bronze medals


9. Germany - 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals
