Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation Honors Its Top Athletes for 2025

On December 5 in Varna, Bulgaria, during the “Golden Belt” 2025 ceremony, the annual awards of the National Association of Combat Sports in Bulgaria were presented. The Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation announced its most successful athletes of the past year.

The highest distinction in the men’s category — “Best Athlete 2025” — was awarded to Viktor Merazov, champion of theWorld Cup Varna 2025 for Kyokushin karate cadets under 21. He is also a multiple medalist at numerous national and international competitions, demonstrating consistency and a high level of sporting excellence.

In the women’s category, the “Best Athlete 2025” award was presented to Monika Stoyanova, gold medalist at the World Cup Varna 2025 for Kyokushin karate cadets under 21. She has won numerous awards at national and international competitions, establishing herself as a leading athlete in her category.

The “Best Coach 2025” recognition was awarded to Petko Chirpanliev, personal coach of Monika Stoyanova, as well as of Aleksandra Ivanova, vice world champion at the World Championship in Germany, and Nedzhmi Bozov, world champion from Leipzig, Germany. Their achievements highlight the coach’s professionalism and dedication.
