On July 7, 2026, within the framework of the XX International Summer Martial Arts Camp near Varna, the next edition of the Varna Kyokushin Karate World Cup will be held - one of the most significant international competitions for competitors aged 14 to 21.
This year, the tournament will welcome 437 participants from 25 countries, which makes it one of the largest forums for young Kyokushin competitors in the world. National teams from Europe, Asia, South America and Africa will send their most promising fighters, who will face each other in a battle for the prestigious awards of the World Cup. Bulgaria will be represented by 70 competitors, who will defend the honor of the country in the face of strong international competition.
Over the years, the Varna World Cup has established itself as an important stage for the performance of future Kyokushin Karate stars, attracting increasingly wider international participation and creating opportunities for the exchange of experience between different schools and fighting traditions.
The competition will be held in three age groups – youth (14–15 years), juniors (16–17 years) and cadets (18–21 years), with participants divided by gender and weight category. For young Kyokushin hopefuls aged 14 to 17, the organizers have provided medals, cups and diplomas for those who place first to third in each category.
Of particular interest are the fights for cadets aged 18–21, where in addition to the traditional awards, serious cash prizes will be awarded. For men in the categories up to 75 kg, up to 85 kg and over 85 kg, the winners will receive 5,000 euros, second places – 3,500 euros, third places – 2,000 euros, and fourth places – 1,000 euros. For women in the categories up to 55 kg, up to 65 kg and over 65 kg, the prize fund provides 3,500 euros for first place, 2,500 euros for second, 1,500 euros for third and 1,000 euros for fourth place.
In early July, the Varna World Cup 2026 will once again make Bulgaria a central location for an international meeting of young martial arts talents from all over the world. See some of the countries whose representatives will take part in the Kyokushin tournament: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Morocco, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic, Chile, Japan and others.
