The main event of Karate Combat 62 featured a professional 205-pound title defense at the KC Apex in Miami, Florida. Incumbent champion Sam Alvey faced challenger Uriah Hall in a five-round full-contact striking match.
Hall opened the first round by landing a spinning high kick and multiple right-hand combinations that caused visible bleeding on the champion. In the second frame, Alvey responded by ducking beneath a jab to secure a takedown, establishing top control to fatigue his opponent. Alvey maintained the pacing in the third round by implementing constant forward pressure alongside frequent calf kicks.
Though Hall connected with clean right hands during the fourth and fifth rounds, Alvey consistently countered with wrestling pressure and ground control. Following fifteen minutes of action, the three judges scored the bout as a unanimous decision victory for Alvey.
