Jailton Almeida has responded to criticism of his fighting style, promising a more aggressive approach moving forward. He returns this Saturday at UFC Fight Night 266, where he faces Rizvan Kuniev in his first bout of the year, aiming to bounce back from a controversial split-decision loss to Alexander Volkov.

Despite controlling large portions of that fight, Almeida admits he lacked the aggression and confidence to fully capitalize on the ground. He says the issue was mental, not physical, and that he’s made adjustments to be more decisive when opportunities present themselves.
