Ilia Topuria Back to Training

Reigning UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria shared a new post on social media, clearly hinting that he is returning to full-scale training.

“The champion is back!” Topuria wrote, without adding further details.

In recent months, Topuria had stepped away from the regular competitive rhythm due to a prolonged legal dispute with his former wife, Georgina Uzcategui Badell. Earlier, Spanish outlet Marca reported that the two sides had reached an agreement, which has evidently allowed the fighter to shift his full attention back to his career.

Topuria’s most recent fight took place in January 2025, when he faced Charles Oliveira and knocked him out in the first round to cement his status as champion. At present, Ilia Topuria boasts a perfect professional record: 17 wins in 17 fights.
