The BMF title is usually synonymous with chaos, brutality, and unforgettable wars inside the Octagon.
The UFC 326 main event didn’t deliver the blood-and-guts battle many fans expected—but it did showcase a one-sided masterclass.
Charles Oliveira dominated Max Holloway over five rounds to capture the BMF title, earning a unanimous decision victory (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
From the opening moments, Oliveira looked like the bigger, stronger, and more complete fighter. Just 30 seconds into the bout, he rocked Holloway and quickly took the fight to the ground. From there, the pattern was set. In every round, Oliveira needed only a single takedown to spend most of the frame controlling Holloway on the canvas.
Oliveira repeatedly threatened with rear-naked chokes and neck cranks, while also landing damaging elbows from the back. Holloway, who has been submitted only once in his career, showed impressive toughness and composure to survive the dangerous positions.
Holloway’s best moment came in the fifth round when he successfully defended a takedown and briefly found himself on top. Desperate for a finish and eager to return to striking, Holloway attempted to stand up—but Oliveira quickly capitalized and reversed the position.
The fight ended with a wild striking exchange in the final 10 seconds, though Oliveira once again appeared to get the better of the action.
When the scorecards were read, Oliveira had swept every round on all three judges’ cards. At his request, his father stepped into the Octagon to present him with the BMF belt.
The victory marks Oliveira’s second straight win following his knockout loss to Ilia Topuria in June 2025. Holloway now sits at 2-1 in his last three fights, with the lone defeat in that stretch also coming against Topuria.
