The event is scheduled for May 9, with the championship clash between Chimaev and Strickland set to headline the card.
The 31-year-old Chimaev remains undefeated in his professional career. In his most recent bout, he faced South Africa’s Dricus du Plessis on August 17, 2025. The fight went the full five rounds, with Chimaev securing a unanimous decision victory to capture the middleweight title.
Meanwhile, Sean Strickland enters the fight following a win over Anthony Hernandez. The two met in Houston on the night of February 21–22, where the American secured a third-round TKO victory.
