PFL lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov is set to face undefeated contender Archie Colgan in his next fight.
The news was confirmed by the organization’s vice president Mike Kogan, who revealed that the bout is expected to take place in mid-summer.
Colgan (15-0) is considered one of the most dangerous rising fighters, with an impressive 14 of his victories coming by stoppage.
Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov (21-0) remains one of the biggest stars in the promotion and holds a top position in the PFL pound-for-pound rankings.
The matchup is shaping up to be a serious test for the champion against an opponent who is also unbeaten in his professional career.
At the same time, reports have emerged that PFL is considering a return to the Bellator name, further increasing interest around the organization’s future.
