Renato Moicano delivered an impressive comeback performance, dominating Chris Duncan in the main event of UFC Vegas 115 and securing a submission victory in the second round.
The fight was under the Brazilian’s full control from the very beginning. Moicano showcased sharp boxing, using a precise jab and well-timed combinations to consistently break down the Scot’s defense. At the same time, he effectively neutralized Duncan’s low kicks and prevented him from establishing any real offense.
The ining moment came in the second round when Moicano landed a jab followed by a powerful left hook that dropped Duncan. Without hesitation, the Brazilian followed him to the ground, took his back, and wore him down with strikes before locking in the submission. The finish came at 3:14 of the round.
With his face covered in blood, Duncan tried to survive, but Moicano’s superior grappling proved decisive.
After the fight, the Brazilian shared his emotions:
“Respect to this man. I had to bounce back after two losses. I fought one of the best in history—Islam Makhachev,” said Moicano.
With this victory, he re-enters the conversation in the lightweight division and reminds everyone that he remains a serious contender.
