Chimaev: I fight for money in the UFC

Undefeated 31-year-old Khamzat Chimaev, the current UFC middleweight champion (84 kg) representing the UAE, has spoken about his feelings about his legacy in MMA.

“My legacy in the sport can’t support my family – I’m here for the paycheck. I never think about the legacy I’m going to leave in the sport. It’ll come naturally”, Chimaev was quoted as saying by the Red Corner MMA account on X.com.

Khamzat Chimaev is the 16th fighter in the history of the North American League to become an undefeated professional champion. 

The Chechen-born fighter’s record includes 15 wins, 12 of which came before the end of fights. Borz has been competing professionally since 2018.
