Brando Pericic Stops Shamil Gaziev After Fierce Slugfest at UFC Perth

Brando Pericic proved he belongs among the UFC’s rising contenders, delivering a composed and powerful performance against Shamil Gaziev that ultimately led to a decisive finish.

Pericic (7-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) weathered early pressure and turned the tide in a competitive, back-and-forth clash, stopping Gaziev (14-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) via knockout at 3:44 of Round 2 on Saturday’s main card at UFC Fight Night 275, held at RAC Arena.

With the victory, Pericic extends his finishing streak to five consecutive fights. The surging heavyweight, nicknamed “The Balkan Bear,” has already set his sights on returning at UFC Fight Night 282 on Aug. 1 in Belgrade.
