Dana White Confident Conor McGregor Will Return This Summer

Dana White is more confident than ever that Conor McGregor will return to the octagon this summer.

Speaking on The Jim Rome Show, White made a clear and decisive statement:
“Conor will fight this summer.”

This is one of the strongest confirmations yet regarding McGregor’s future, going beyond the usual expectations that the former two-division champion would eventually make his comeback.

“We’re in a great place with Conor,” White added. “I’m extremely confident he’ll fight this year. We’re working on getting him fully prepared and ready to go. He’s already training, and there’s footage of him out there right now.”

While no official announcement has been made, and no opponent has been confirmed, speculation continues to grow. One of the leading rumors suggests a potential matchup with Max Holloway at UFC 329 during International Fight Week on July 11.

Holloway (27–9 MMA, 23–9 UFC) has acknowledged the rumors, saying he is preparing for a fight, though nothing has been signed yet.

“He’ll fight this summer — let’s start there,” White emphasized. “I thought it would happen last year, but it didn’t. This time, I’m very confident. He looks motivated, he’s training, and there’s a lot happening behind the scenes that makes me believe it will finally happen.”
