At the Balkan Open MMA Championship in Belgrade, which turned into a mini European Championship with the participation of 13 European countries, Bulgarian fighters shook up the competition by winning 3 gold, 16 silver and 5 bronze medals in all age groups.

Bulgarian MMA Federation is a member of the largest international MMA organization in the world IMMAF, which has over 140 member countries.
In the IMMAF world ranking among these 140 countries Bulgaria is:
Men - 7th place in the world and 4th in Europe!
Youth (18-20 years) - 7th place in the world and 3rd in Europe!
Children and adolescents (10-18 years) - 10th place in the world and 5th in Europe!
Behind us in the world ranking are populous countries with huge budgets and long-standing traditions in MMA such as the USA, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Poland, the Netherlands, Hungary, Switzerland, UAE, Saudi Arabia and 120 more countries.
