Watch Conor McGregor's 40-Second TKO of Donald Cerrone Before UFC 329

Conor McGregor knows what it takes to make a statement after a long layoff.

The last time McGregor returned from an extended break, he produced one of the quickest finishes of his career. In 2020, the Irish superstar stepped back into the octagon after two years away to face veteran Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246.

Despite the inactivity, McGregor wasted no time. He scored a TKO victory in just 40 seconds, using a rare sequence of shoulder strikes to help set up the finish.

McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) is scheduled to return on July 11 in the main event of UFC 329 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He faces Max Holloway (27-9 MMA, 23-9 UFC) in a rematch of their 2013 bout, which McGregor won by unanimous decision.

The fight is expected to take place at 170 pounds and will mark McGregor’s first appearance since suffering a serious leg injury in his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier.
