The highly anticipated middleweight showdown between Kamaru Usman and Dricus Du Plessis at UFC Oklahoma City has sparked intense discussion online. Ahead of the July 18, 2026 event, fans on social media expressed panic after watching fight week footage that appeared to show Usman walking with an unusual, stiff gait.

Usman’s history with severe knee wear and tear is well-documented in the MMA community. The fresh footage immediately reignited concerns about his physical health, especially as he moves up to the 185-pound division to face a much larger opponent.

However, Usman quickly shut down the speculation during pre-fight media appearances.
