Islam Makhachev Shaves Young Fans' Hair

UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev recently took gym discipline into his own hands by picking up a pair of hair clippers. In a viral video filmed by Khabib Nurmagomedov, Makhachev welcomed two young fans into the gym. However, before letting them join the environment, he noticed their style and forced them to remove their jewelry and shave their long, curly hair. As he personally gave the kids a clean buzz cut, Makhachev joked, "I swear you look better," while one of the boys laughed and replied, "I'm bald now."

Khabib posted the video online with the caption, "Send him 2-3 years to Dagestan." Makhachev quickly reshared it, adding, "They didn't have to go to Dagestan. Dagestan came for them."

This strict, no-nonsense grooming rule was originally created by Khabib’s late father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. The legendary coach believed long hair and accessories were dangerous and distracted fighters from their training. Interestingly, Makhachev once broke this exact rule himself as a young fighter. Abdulmanap famously kicked Makhachev and 50 other students out of the gym for having long hair. Proving his dedication, a young Islam ran straight to a barber and returned just 40 minutes later with a completely shaved head.
