A surprising backstage meeting took place between internet celebrity Jake Paul and Khabib Nurmagomedov. They met right after Khabib’s cousin, Usman Nurmagomedov, won his big title fight at the latest Professional Fighters League (PFL) event. Because Paul's own company just joined forces with the PFL, he took the chance to pitch a massive idea to the retired champion.

Paul directly asked the undefeated UFC legend to come out of retirement and fight for his new league. In a recorded video, Paul told Khabib: "With what we're doing, this merger... we're changing MMA forever, where we give fighters a better place to live." He explained that his goal is to fix the sport and offer fighters much better conditions than they get anywhere else.

Then, Paul looked at Khabib and made his biggest pitch. He said: "If you fought for us, it would monumentally change the sport forever." He finished his short speech by looking at the legend and repeating: "So, it's about change."

To keep the conversation friendly, Paul also joked about going to Dagestan to train with Khabib's team for "two years." He later shared online that he also told Khabib to go inside the cage and physically put the championship belt around his cousin Usman's waist to celebrate the victory.
