Michael Bisping Breaks Silence on Anthony Smith’s Arrest

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping used his popular Believe You Me podcast to address the shocking legal troubles of his former co-host, Anthony "Lionheart" Smith. Hosting the show alongside Paul Felder, Bisping explicitly stated that he wants to keep the conversation strictly tied to what is already public knowledge.

Smith faces three serious felony charges in Nebraska, including domestic violence, terroristic threats, and false imprisonment. While the MMA community rushed to judge the fighter after the $500,000 bail announcement, Bisping and Felder repeatedly told their audience to take a step back. "We don’t have new case facts beyond the public filings, Smith’s family statements, and the court video," Bisping explained clearly to his listeners.

The former champion pointed out that legal issues in the public eye are highly complicated. He noted that while the initial police filings look terrible, the public does not possess the full narrative. Bisping also reminded the audience that Smith’s wife released a public social media statement defending her husband, calling the incident a "mental health struggle" and stating she was always safe. Bisping emphasized that the justice system must do its job, and people should not act like judges before all facts are proven in court.
