Marwan Rahiki is eager to test himself against fellow unbeaten prospect Tommy McMillen when the two clash at UFC Fight Night 288 (Noche UFC) on Sept. 12 in Glendale, Arizona.
The featherweight matchup features two rising stars with perfect records, and Rahiki (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has no issue facing another undefeated fighter this early in his UFC career.
"This is the most exciting fight I've ever had. I've always wanted to fight the best guys," Rahiki said.
The 24-year-old Moroccan has finished all nine of his professional victories, including five in the opening round, and believes his aggressive style will produce an entertaining fight.
McMillen (11-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) enters the bout after setting a UFC three-round record for significant strikes landed in his July win over Alberto Montes. Rahiki, however, is unimpressed by the statistic.
"If someone sets a significant strikes record, just finish the fight in the first round," Rahiki said. "My goal is to knock him out in the first round. If not, the result will still be the same."
Rahiki also hopes the UFC stages a pre-fight press conference, saying he welcomes any trash talk ahead of one of the biggest fights of his career.
