The joke started when Johnson said he wanted to visit Makhachev’s home region of Dagestan. However, Johnson noted that he would first need to ask his wife for permission. Makhachev joked that since Johnson is one of the best fighters in the world, he should simply tell his wife he is going to Dagestan instead of asking her.
