UFC CEO Dana White has once again expressed deep disappointment regarding Ian Machado Garry’s performance against Islam Makhachev. White criticized Garry's constant display of respect inside the Octagon, particularly during the crucial fifth round. According to the UFC boss, Garry should have come out with a killer instinct, fighting aggressively to defeat Makhachev and steal his belt, rather than praising his opponent mid-fight.

White explained that Garry did a phenomenal job leading up to the final round. He firmly believes the Irish contender could have emerged victorious if he had temporarily set aside his classy attitude. The time for compliments, White noted, was after the final buzzer sounded—ideally with the Welterweight championship belt already wrapped around Garry's own waist.

While White praised Garry as a great person, he warned that failing to capitalize on this massive moment carries heavy consequences. By letting the opportunity slip away, Garry may have permanently robbed himself of the chance to defeat Makhachev, who continues his historic march toward becoming one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time.
