TJ Dillashaw: ''Ian Garry's Attitude Towards Islam Makhachev Was Fishy!''

Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw has sharply criticized Ian Machado Garry's performance and mindset following his fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 330. Speaking on the JAXXON PODCAST alongside Michael Bisping, Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson, and show host Bear Degidio, Dillashaw expressed deep skepticism about Garry's overly friendly behavior before and after the bout.

Dillashaw openly stated that he deeply distrusts people who act too nice to him, a trait he noticed heavily in Garry's interactions with Makhachev. According to the former champion, Garry should have used a highly technical strategy by staying on the outside of Makhachev's lead shoulder and foot. This positioning would have allowed him to effectively land a powerful right cross followed immediately by a right high kick.

Instead of executing a dangerous game plan, Dillashaw noted that Garry was hugging and kissing Makhachev while constantly telling him how good he was. Dillashaw concluded that Garry went into the Octagon simply to survive and avoid a loss rather than trying to win. He emphasized that the Irish fighter showed an absolute lack of killer instinct, proving that his main issue in the championship fight was his mental approach rather than his actual physical skills.
