Jorge Masvidal: ''I Am NOT Interested in Fighting Conor McGregor, I Want Leon Edwards!''

UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal has delivered a harsh review of Conor McGregor’s recent performance against Max Holloway. Speaking in a new interview, the former BMF champion stated he has absolutely nothing good to say about the Irishman’s return to the Octagon. Masvidal added that McGregor should return all the ticket and pay-per-view money he made from the fight directly back to the fans.

Masvidal mocked the fast finish of the bout, saying he could not tell if McGregor was trying to break his own record for the fastest knockout or the record for getting knocked out the fastest. Because of this poor showing, Masvidal made it clear that he has no interest in scheduling a welterweight fight against McGregor at 170 pounds. He explained that McGregor simply cannot be trusted to show up. Masvidal stated he refuses to waste months of his life going through a brutal training camp for a fight that would likely fall through.

Instead, the 41-year-old veteran is focusing his attention on a different major name. Masvidal confirmed that he is actively talking with the UFC about coming out of retirement for a highly anticipated clash against long-time rival Leon Edwards. He noted that contract numbers are getting closer and expressed a strong desire to finally settle their famous backstage feud inside the Octagon.
