Umar Nurmagomedov Speaks Out After Loss to Song Yadong

Umar Nurmagomedov has reacted for the first time following his tough defeat to Song Yadong in the main event of UFC Fight Night 286 in Shanghai. The Dagestani fighter was knocked out in the second round after the Chinese star caught him with a perfectly timed right hand as Nurmagomedov attempted a takedown.

Despite the disappointing result, Nurmagomedov was quick to reassure his fans that he is doing well.

“I’m good. Thank you very much to everyone who reached out. I’ll work on my mistakes and come back,” the fighter wrote on social media.

The defeat was only the second of Nurmagomedov’s professional career and the first time he has been stopped by knockout. The loss also snapped his two-fight winning streak, while Song Yadong strengthened his case for a move toward the top of the UFC bantamweight division.
