UFC lightweight star Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett has dismissed recent internet rumors claiming he is scheduled to fight his fierce rival, Ilia Topuria. The speculation intensified after fans and online analysts suggested the two could headline a major card before the end of the year.
However, in a recent video interview with reporter Eze Obasi, the 31-year-old Liverpool native clarified that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has not reached out to him regarding this specific matchup. While Pimblett openly expressed his eagerness to settle their long-standing personal feud inside the Octagon, he emphasized that no formal contracts or discussions have taken place yet.
Despite the lack of an official opponent, Pimblett remains highly motivated to step back into the cage at least once more this year. He stated his ideal timeline is to compete in December, potentially targeting the upcoming UFC 335 event scheduled in Las Vegas. Pimblett last competed at UFC 329, where he secured a spectacular 52-second submission victory over Benoît Saint Denis. If the Topuria fight does not materialize next, Pimblett noted he is fully open to facing other elite 155-pound contenders, including Charles Oliveira, Arman Tsarukyan, or Justin Gaethje.
