UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed that a potential fight between Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett is massive enough to main-event a major pay-per-view card. Even without a championship belt on the line, White believes the star power of both athletes makes the matchup an automatic headliner.

When asked on UFC on Paramount+ if the non-title lightweight bout could lead a numbered event, White gave a direct answer: "The answer is yes. That fight is massive."

The comment comes as former featherweight champion Topuria prepares to make his return to the Octagon following a recent loss to Justin Gaethje. White noted that the promotion is currently choosing betweenbooking a Gaethje rematch or a fresh grudge match against Pimblett for Topuria's next outing. Labeling the situation a "good problem to have," White emphasized that whichever direction the UFC chooses, the fans and the promotion will win.
