Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz has revealed a shocking tactical shift for top bantamweight contender Umar Nurmagomedov during an interview on Submission Radio. The undefeated fighter, widely recognized for his family's legendary wrestling pedigree and elite grappling dominance, has reportedly decided to completely abandon his traditional wrestling approach. Abdelaziz shared that the rising star is officially shifting his entire focus toward building a reputation as a standalone knockout artist.
Abdelaziz detailed the intense private conversation, explaining that the fighter called him to make his future intentions completely clear. "Umar called me the other day, and he’s like, 'I’m not a wrestler. I’m never gonna wrestle again. I’m just gonna knock everybody out,'" Abdelaziz told the hosts. The manager explained that the declaration was not an empty boast but a serious pledge to make his future performances inside the Octagon look entirely effortless.
According to Abdelaziz, the bantamweight star's tone during the call carried a rare, genuine level of intensity. "Whoever I fight next, I’m gonna make sure I make it look easy, and I’m gonna put them out of their misery," Nurmagomedov reportedly told him. The manager added a final thought, emphasizing the immense gravity behind the statement: "And he said it from the bottom of his heart. Like, I felt the vibration when he said that to me."
