UFC Releases Wild Corner Footage of Gaethje vs Topuria (Video)

New split-screen video shows the intense reactions of Trevor Wittman and Aleksandre Topuria during one the title fight knockdowns.

The UFC has released a viral split-screen video capturing the dramatic behind-the-scenes coaching reactions from the historic title fight between Justin Gaethje and Ilia Topuria. The clip highlights the exact moment in the third round when Gaethje landed a massive knockdown against the previously undefeated champion. The footage offers mixed martial arts fans a fascinating, high-stress look at the psychological warfare taking place just outside the chain-link fence.

In the footage, Topuria's brother and head coach, Aleksandre Topuria, can be seen urgently shouting instructions to help his brother survive the dangerous exchange. "Ilia, get to your side! Breathe! Stay calm!" Aleksandre screams frantically from the corner as he tries to keep the fighter focused. He continues giving tactical advice to escape the pressure, yelling, "Center, Ilia, center. Ilia, take him down if you want".

Directly across the Octagon, Gaethje's world-renowned head coach, Trevor Wittman, reacts with pure excitement as he senses a potential finishing sequence. Wittman urges his fighter to keep his foot on the gas pedal, shouting, "Time him! Time him! You see it! Justin, punch!!! Pressure". The intense, raw audio ends just before Aleksandre eventually forced a corner stoppage at the end of the fourth round to protect his brother's health.
