Dana White’s Contender Series concluded its eighth week of the season with four fighters successfully earning their way into the promotion. The broadcast featured only four total bouts at the Meta APEX facility after a scheduled lightweight match between Ilias Bulaid and Erick Visconde was canceled at the last minute due to a sudden fighter illness. Every single victorious athlete on the adjusted card did enough to walk away with an official contract.
In the main event of the evening, George Staines secured a spectacular first-round knockout victory over Loai Abushaar. Staines, who trains alongside UFC star Paddy Pimblett, finished the contest in just sixty-one seconds using a powerful slam and follow-up punches. Earlier on the card, Adama Diop stopped Zaurbek Sabanov via second-round punches, while Ian Escuza knocked out Luca Borando with heavy knees just thirty-two seconds into the first round.
The lone female bout on the card also ended in a fast finish during the opening round. Aieza Bertolso put on a dominant display against Camila Reynoso, securing a quick submission victory with an inverted D'Arce choke at the three-minute mark. All four winners will now begin preparing for their official promotional debuts later this winter.
