Former UFC champion Ilia Topuria is officially back in the gym and looking in the best shape of his life. After spending months away from fighting to heal from facial injuries, the popular featherweight was spotted training again at BOXR GYM in Miami. The sudden appearance shows that he is already preparing for a major comeback inside the Octagon.
The excitement started when fitness coach Matthew Attalla (@mateoboxr) posted a photo online of Topuria posing shirtless in the boxing ring. The picture shows Topuria looking incredibly muscular and lean, proving to fans that he did not stop training during his time off. Attalla took a shot at critics who doubted the fighter, writing: “You cannot stop greatness. Anyone who counted him out, can’t count. House of Champions.”
According to his team, Topuria is currently focused on boxing drills and light mitt work while his body fully recovers. While he cannot do heavy MMA sparring just yet, his coaches say he is healing much faster than expected. The new photo has quickly gone viral, making MMA fans highly excited to see him fight again soon.
