Former UFC champ Cris Cyborg rebounded from a brutal knockout to close her contract on a win.
Cyborg (21-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) secured a unanimous decision victory against a tough Spencer, who absorbed her early fury and survived the 3 rounds of MMA.
The women’s featherweight bout served as the UFC 240 co-main event at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The final scorecards were all 30-27 for Cyborg, but Spencer gave the former champ tough show, opening a cut with an elbow that bled throughout the fight.

“I’m going to let the UFC talk to my manager, but I just wanted to get this victory,” Cyborg said. “I asked for a rematch after the fight.”
UFC president Dana White claimed the opposite in a relationship that’s seesawed between cooperation and hostility. But Cyborg’s final flurry against a tough Spencer showed her championship spirit.
“Thanks to Felicia, I have my first cut,” she said. “I just wanted to come back to the cage and do my job.”
