UFC 251 officially canceled

UFC announced that one of the biggest shows scheduled for this summer has been postponed.

UFC 251 had to take place on June 6 at Perth Arena in Perth, Australia, where home crowd hero Alexander Volkanovski was set to defend his featherweight title against former champion Max Holloway.

It is worth stating that Volkanovski - Holloway 2 was never made official by UFC, it was well-known the promotion was targeting the matchup for this card as the main event and both men had been preparing for it.

Some weeks ago the co-main event of the night between UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko and Joanne Calderwood was also scrapped because of an injury "The Bullet" has sustained.
