Tony Ferguson issues first statement since UFC 249 loss

UFC lightweight Tony Ferguson suffered his first loss in nearly 8 years when he lost to Justin Gathje at UFC 249 this weekend.

"El Cucuy" got defeated by "The Highlight" in the main event of the night, as he got many facial injuries and Herb Dean stopped the fight in the later rounds.

Following the fight, Ferguson was transported to a hospital to get medical treatment, as some sources stated that he had fractured orbital.

However, the American congratulated his adversary after that via an Instagram post.
