Jon Jones pitches Stipe Miocic as first heavyweight opponent

Jon Jones believes he’s a better choice for champ Stipe Miocic’s next opponent than Francis Ngannou.

Two weeks after vacating the UFC light heavyweight title, Jones pitched a title shot for his first heavyweight fight, arguing he’s a much more attractive opponent that Francis Ngannou, who’s been promised the next crack at champ Stipe Miocic.

Jones recently has been bulking up in preparation for his move up to heavyweight. He relinquished the belt after a dispute over pay with UFC President Dana White as he teased a potential fight with Ngannou.
