UFC Fight Island 8 main event between Khamzat Chimaev and Leon Edwards is off once again.
Initially, the fight was scheduled for December 19, but the British fighter tested postponed for January 20 in Abu Dhabi.
It’s still unclear why Chimaev won’t be fighting on Jan. 20, and whether or not the promotion will keep Edwards in the main event against a different opponent.
Edwards, 29, hasn't fought since July 2019 when he outclassed Raphael Dos Anjos. Chimaev on the other hand, rose to fame quickly in 2020, claiming three consecutive wins in the span of two months.
