UFC targets Shamil Abdurakhimov vs. Chris Daukaus for July

An intriguing heavyweight matchup is on the verge of being finalized for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 192 event this July.

Russia's Shamil Abdurakhimov and Philadelphia’s Chris Daukaus are targeted to square off on July 24 at a location and venue that has yet to be confirmed.

Abdurakhimov, 39, hasn't fought since September 2019. He lost to Curtis Blaydes via TKO in the second round in his last outing.

Daukaus, 31, is on a four-fight winning streak. The American defeated Aleksei Oleinik back in February via TKO.
