Thiago Santos vs. Magomed Ankalaev in the works for March 2022

An interesting light heavyweight matchup is in the works for being the main event of an UFC event that is set to take place on March 12 next year.

UFC is finalizing a bout between Brasil's Thiago Santos and Russia's Magomed Ankalaev. The location of the fight night is yet to be announced.

Santos, 37, snapped a three-fight losing streak with a victory over Johnny Walker this past October.

Ankalaev, 29, is riding a seven-fight winning streak dating back to 2018. The Russian defeated Volkan Oezdemir in his last fight.
