Zhulien Rikov after SENSHI 32: "After every victory, I focus only on the next challenge."

The undefeated Bulgarian fighter admitted that, after SENSHI 32, his focus is already on his next victory.

Undefeated Bulgarian kickboxer Zhulien Rikov extended his impressive run in the professional ring by claiming his eighth consecutive victory at SENSHI 32, defeating Italy's Daniele Valente via doctor stoppage.

In an interview on ''Bulgaria Sutrin'' on Bulgaria ON AIR, Rikov admitted that the bout ended sooner than he had hoped, leaving him unable to demonstrate everything he had prepared during his training camp.

"I wasn't tired because the fight ended very quickly. I opened a cut above his eyebrow, and the ringside doctor decided it wasn't safe for the bout to continue. He wanted to keep fighting, but the doctor stopped it. I also wanted the fight to continue so I could execute what we had worked on in training. I would have preferred to finish it with a knockout rather than a doctor stoppage," Rikov said.

The Bulgarian explained that his extensive experience allows him to stay in control inside the ring and choose the right moments to launch his attacks.

"I know when I can let my opponent land a few shots, relax, and gain confidence before taking control again and sticking to my game plan. I have more than 50 amateur fights, eight professional bouts, and countless hours of training behind me."

Rikov also stressed that he continues to evolve with every training camp.

"We change something in every camp to adapt to our opponent's style. We focus mainly on technique, speed, and cardio."

Despite maintaining a flawless professional record, the young fighter remains grounded.

"Victories boost your confidence, but they can also play tricks on you. It's important to believe in yourself, but in moderation. We leave past achievements behind and aim for new ones. You always have to keep looking ahead."

Known by the nickname "The Lion Heart," Zhulien Rikov emphasized that he has no desire to imitate anyone else in combat sports.

"I want to show my own individuality in the ring."

Toward the end of the interview, he also encouraged young people to stay active and find a sport that suits them.

"It's important for every young person to be involved in sports. Sport builds character. I encourage everyone to give it a try—if one sport isn't the right fit, they'll certainly find another that is. Sport should be a part of everyone's life."
