The Bulgarian National Wushu Team performed exceptionally well at the Baltic Kungfu/WUSH Championship held in Vilnius, Lithuania. The prestigious international forum brought together teams from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Georgia and the United Kingdom, turning the competition into a true celebration of martial arts.

Bulgaria participated with an impressive line-up of 22 competitors, who demonstrated excellent preparation, technique and fighting spirit. The results speak for themselves – 14 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze medals, an achievement that placed our country among the leaders of the championship and strengthened the authority of the Bulgarian Wushu school.

The team was led by Dr. Lilyana Chobanova, Secretary of the Bulgarian Wushu Federation, whose dedication and professionalism played a key role in the successful participation of the national team.

Bulgaria stood out not only with its competitors, but also with an exceptionally strong presence in the judging panel. Over 50% of all judges at the championship were Bulgarian representatives, which is a clear sign of the international recognition of the expertise and professionalism of our specialists. Among them were Petya Bibashka - Chief Judge of the BFUSHU, as well as Dimitar Tonchev and Afalina Rarivo.

Within the day after the competition, a specialized seminar was held, dedicated to the preparation of Bulgarian youth for the upcoming World Championship for Children and Youth, which will be held at the end of March in Tianjin, China. The seminar provided valuable guidelines for technical, physical and psychological preparation and strengthened Bulgaria's ambitions for a worthy performance on the world stage.

The participation in the Baltic Kungfu/WUSH Championship in Vilnius can rightly be defined as extremely successful, proving that Bulgarian WUSH is developing in the right direction and has serious potential for future international successes.
