Ognian Mirchev is one of Bulgaria’s leading kickboxers in the lightweight division (up to 70 kg). He has three wins in the SENSHI ring, including one by knockout, and remains undefeated.
On September 5, Ognian will face Greek fighter Giannis Eminov in a super fight. Eminov already has one victory in the SENSHI series.
“I train twice a day, but everything is planned by my coach. The fight was supposed to take place last year, but I suffered an injury, and now, finally, the fight will happen,” the fighter said on Bulgaria Sutrin.
The kickboxer is stepping into the ring with growing confidence.
“I’m fast and I have a good sense of distance, which helps me a lot. For me, it’s important to perform to the best of my ability and win — a knockout is not the ultimate goal. With each fight, the preparation gets tougher, and every next bout presents a greater challenge,” he added in an interview with Bulgaria ON AIR.
Together with his coach, Nikola Nikolov, they immediately work on his mistakes after every fight.
“Recovery is fundamental, because otherwise you won’t be able to give 100% in your next fight,” the guest pointed out.
