On February 28 in Varna, the anniversary edition SENSHI 30 took place — an event that will go down in history with the first-ever Grand Prix tournament in the -75 kg division. The landmark 30th edition of SENSHI also turned into a true gathering of titans from the golden era of K-1. With the SENSHI Grand Prix tournament, the organization brought together under one roof the legends who shaped the global kickboxing scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Among the biggest names attending the event was Ray Sefo — a six-time world champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai and one of the most respected heavyweight figures in combat sports history. The legendary fighter was a special guest of the SENSHI 30 Grand Prix and made his debut as an instructor at the international SENSHI training camp, which took place from February 26 to March 1 in Varna.
During the event, Petya Kertikova from Bulgaria ON AIR spoke with Sefo to learn more about his impressions of SENSHI, the international training camp, and the level of fighters competing in the promotion. The legendary kickboxer shared that he was impressed by the atmosphere of the event and the professional organization, emphasizing that the camp provides a great opportunity for young fighters to learn directly from some of the biggest names in the sport.
Sefo also highlighted the Bulgarian fighters, noting that they show strong potential and a true competitive spirit. He expressed his respect for the rapid development of SENSHI in recent years and stressed that initiatives like this help the next generation of fighters grow and showcase their talent on the international stage.
