Already 17 countries have confirmed their participation in the Topalov Open judo tournament in Panagyurishte, nearly a month before the start of the competition (June 6-7).
And these are competitors from Georgia, Israel, Italy, Egypt, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Cyprus, Romania, Croatia, Turkey, Greece, North Macedonia, Moldova.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary edition of the competition, guests will be Fabio Basile (Italy), Olympic champion from Rio 2016, and the best Bulgarian judoka Ivaylo Ivanov, participant of three Olympics and winner of numerous medals from major championships.
Both will lead the camp after the tournament, organized by the Topalov Club. Training will be twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon.
Participants will be divided into two groups – the first, with the youngest (6-8-12 years old) and the second with the older ones (15-18- over 18 years old).
For the first time, men and women will have the opportunity to participate in the camp.
