Mike Perry defeats Al Iaquinta in a grappling contest (VIDEO)

An intriguing and exciting grappling match took place this past weekend.

UFC's welterweight Mike Perry defeated UFC's lightweight Al Iaquinta in a grappling clash part of the „Submission Underground 11" undercard.

The organization is owned by non-other than Chael Sonnen himself.

The 28-year-old Perry made noise on the weight-in before the contest, lighting a cigarette right in front of everybody, while "Raging Al" was just a meter away from him.

"Platinum" had the last laugh after he got the W over the 32-year-old Iaquinta via quickest submission escape ... that’s Submission Underground’s version of overtime and it sure beats the endless ties and draws we see in many other grappling events.

After the bout, Sonnen tried his matchmaking skills and tried to arrange another meeting between the pair, this time under MMA rules. Iaquinta's answer was simple - only in the lightweight division.
